The Annapurna Circuit is considered one of the greatest long-distance treks in the world. This trail takes you around the entire Annapurna massif, traversing an incredible diversity of landscapes — from lush subtropical forests and terraced rice paddies to arid high-altitude desert resembling Tibet.

The highlight is crossing the Thorong La pass at 5,416 meters, one of the highest trekking passes in the world. The descent takes you to Muktinath, a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, where eternal flames burn alongside 108 water spouts.

The circuit passes through the Manang valley, the medieval town of Manang, and the stunning Marsyangdi river gorge. On the western side, Jomsom and Marpha offer apple orchards and Thakali cuisine — some of the best food you'll eat on any trek in Nepal.

The trail has become more accessible with road construction on some sections, but alternative high routes preserve the wilderness experience.
